Interior of the drawer

what is the interior height of the drawer? In need to check if my equipment will fit. I assume the 12 1/2" dimension is the total height including the feet on the bottom of the box. I need the maximum clearance inside the drawer.
Asked by: Anonymous
Interior drawer height is about 10 inches

Can I load a 4-wheeler on top of the box?

The 338-5 can support 750 pounds on top of the unit, so as long as you do not go over that it will be fine.

Can the drawer be completely taken out?

I need to get to the back side on the inside to put some bolts in
Asked by: Anonymous
You need to pull the drawer completely. There are two drawer tracks/slides on the left and right side being connected with rivets. you need to shear those 2 rivets on both sides to loosen the drawer. Once the rivets are loose, they can take out the drawer completely.

Will this fit in a 2015 Chevy Colorado

the bed is 43.5' fender well to fender well and 60' tailgate to front of bed. The reason I'm asking Home Depot has the width listed as 48 in and length as 39.75 in.
Asked by: Anonymous
The length of the box (back of the unit to the front) is 48". The width(left to right ) is 39 3/4". This box should fit your model of truck.

Do you custom build drawer units?

I am looking for a box that is 45" long x 40" wide x 15" tall. Your Model 338-5 PACK-RAT would work but it is too long. I can't be any longer than 45".
Asked by: Anonymous
We do not manufacture any custom sized boxes. For this we would recommend our 24" pack rat 301-3.

Are the dividers removeable?

Are the dividers that run the length of the drawer (45" length) and divide the drawer into four main compartments removable? is there a variation of model # 334-3 that is 40" wide?
Asked by: Anonymous
Yes the dividers in the Pack Rats are removable. Unfortunately we do not manufacture a model that is 40" wide.

is there a weatherproof model available? I would like to keep it in the box of my truck with no cover. I also plan to put stuff on top of it.

Asked by: Anonymous
We do not manufacture a weatherproof model. Even though the pack rat is not waterproof it does have weather stripping installed to protect against the elements.
