How much weight can a PACK RAT drawer hold?
Each PACK RAT drawer supports up to 425 lbs. of evenly distributed weight, making it ideal for heavy tools, equipment, and jobsite gear.
How much weight can be placed on top of PACK RAT?
Depending on the model, the reinforced steel top supports up to 2,000 lbs. of evenly distributed load, allowing additional storage, materials, or stacked equipment.
Is PACK RAT more secure than plastic drawers?
Yes. PACK RAT is built from reinforced steel and features 1KEY ULTRALOCK™, delivering significantly higher theft resistance than plastic or light-duty drawer systems.
Can PACK RAT be keyed to match other WEATHER GUARD® products?
Yes. PACK RAT is compatible with 1KEY ULTRALOCK™, allowing one key to operate multiple WEATHER GUARD® storage products across a truck or fleet.
Does PACK RAT work with bedliners and tonneau covers?
PACK RAT works with spray-in bedliners and most tonneau covers or caps. It is not compatible with drop-in bedliners. Always confirm that covers do not interfere with drawer clearance.
Is PACK RAT weather resistant?
Yes. PACK RAT features automotive style weather stripping and an ARMOR TUF® powdercoat finish to help protect tools from rain, dust, and corrosion.
How long does PACK RAT installation take?
PACK RAT ships fully assembled and typically installs in under 30 minutes. Installation requires bolting the unit to the truck bed in four locations.
